Red Red - Wet n Wild Wild Shine polish review/swatch

Hey everyone, it's Chae!
Last night, while discussing future plans with Elizabeth, I decided to kick off this blog with a nail polish review/swatch.
I didn't know what color to choose, and decided to go back to the very first polish I bought with my own money... Wet n Wild's Wild Shine nail polish in 414A: Red Red.
The Wild Shine collection polishes are usually found at all drugstores and many grocery stores at just 99 cents each!
Let's get to the photos!
I started off with 2 coats of OPI Natural Nail Basecoat to prevent staining, and make my manicure last longer :)

Then I applied one coat of Red Red and let it dry, then applied another.
This is a pre-cleanup pic. So messy, I know! Shaky hands :(

I did a quick cleanup...

...Then I added 1 thick coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Topcoat.

Now because I took these pics at nighttime, I couldn't get the right lighting (so I had to use the dreaded flash...) and these pictures make the polish look like a bright tomato red, which is not the case at all! It's more of a cherry red, going on a dark red, but not quite... It's definitely not as bright as the above pictures show, though.

I had to take this photo the next morning because I couldn't get the right lighting to show the true color. While this isn't exactly the true dark red that Red Red is, it's pretty close.
If you're looking for a nail polish with lots of unique and great colors at an amazing price, I urge you to go out and buy some colors from the Wild Shine collection!

Thanks for reading!

UPDATE: I have heard negative reviews on the Wild Shine nail polishes because of their lasting time. It is true the Wild Shine polishes don't last an awful long time without a topcoat, but when I use a coat of Seche Vite, it lasts for a few days with minor tipwear and tiny chips. If lasting power is what you're looking for in a nail polish, you might want to steer clear of these polishes.
